Clever Wedding Ideas
Of course wedding guests will remember the beautiful venue or location, what the bride wore, the tasty food, and the great times. But sometimes it’s the little things that guests remember the most after your wedding day comes to an end. Here are a few of our favorite clever ideas to incorporate into your wedding festivities.
Share your story
If you’ll be inviting lots of out-of-town guests or those who may not have caught up with the newlyweds in a while, set out a framed list of fun facts about the new Mr. and Mrs. or their relationship story on tables at the reception. This idea also works great for introducing the wedding party to your guests.
Decorate uncommon areas
Punch up the decor of the men and women’s lounges by adding funny childhood photos of the bride and groom to the doors.
Help entertain the kids
If you’ll be inviting lots of couples with young kids, set up a special table for them to play games, draw or do crafts to keep them entertained and let their parents off the hook for a bit.
Honor those who couldn’t be there
A great way to pay tribute to special loved ones who have passed is to incorporate their photos in your boutonniere or tucked inside your suit jacket, on the bouquet or on a special table of photos displayed at the reception.
Offer helpful favors
Gift guests useful favors that they can use both at the reception and take home as a keepsake, such as handkerchiefs for the ceremony, bottles of bug spray for an outdoor wedding, customized drink glasses, dancing shoes for the reception, blankets or wraps for a winter reception, or paper parasols or sunglasses for a summer wedding.
Have a sense of humor
Help keep things light and inject your sense of humor into the festivities by dressing your ring bearer as a security guard. These kinds of sweet and funny moments are often the most memorable.
