Product Description

The Personalized Wine Barrel Wedding Card Holder lets you incorporate your love of wine into the wedding day. This handmade barrel can be displayed prominently on the gift table at your reception. It features a slot in the top where cards, checks and notes can be deposited. The back of the barrel features an easily removable trap door where the contents can be removed. After the wedding day, it will become a cherished piece of décor to display in your home.

We estimate that around 100-125 cards will fit in the barrel. It’s impossible to give an exact count because the sizing of cards can vary. Remember, not every guest will bring a card. If you find that the barrel starts to fill up, you can easily remove cards from the door in the back.

FAQ

Is there a finish or glaze over the barrel?

The barrel has a light water-based finish. There is a bit of a sheen but it is not heavy.

Does every barrel look the exact same?

No. Because our barrels are handmade from real pieces of oak, they will all have unique characteristics and variations. No two pieces of wood are the exact same. Many of the other barrel card boxes on the market are mass produced and don’t have the one-of-a-kind look and feel as ours.

Why is there a small indention on the face of the barrel?

This small indention is called a divot and is a natural characteristic of any wine or bourbon barrel. Because each barrel is different, the placement and depth of the divot will vary. It may appear next to your engraved names or sometimes hidden under the names themselves. There is no way to know this ahead of time. The barrels are a handmade, unique product, and we cannot customize the location of the divot. It’s an integral part of any wine or bourbon barrels and essentially keeps it held together.

We have experimented with solutions such as wood putty to fill in the hole but we think this ends up taking away from the overall look.
